Richmond District – Lunar New Year Good Luck Parade & Night Market
Event Overview
The Year of the Horse symbolizes energy, strength, and forward momentum. Inspired by this, “Super Horse – Super Hope” celebrates the Richmond District’s shared aspirations for a brighter year ahead. Just as the horse gallops with vitality and determination, this event invites schools, community-based organizations (CBOs), and community groups to bring joy, creativity, and festive spirit to families and neighbors throughout the Richmond District.

- 4:00–5:30 PM – Half-Time Show [Sign up here to join the performance]
- 5:30–6:30 PM – Night Edition Parade – Glow All Night
- 6:30–8:30 PM – Variety Show [Sign up here to join the performance]
- 3:00–8:30 PM – Night Market [Sign up here to be a vendor]

This year, vendors can showcase their creativity and festive spirit in our first-ever Booth Decoration Competition!
- Prizes awarded for Best Theme, Most Creative, and Most Festive.
- Each vendor is encouraged to design their booth to match one of the five parade themes.

- Bus Stop Photo Booth for decoration and senior-friendly interaction
- Theme blessing: 福寿安康（龙马精神，再谱华章）

Block 3 – Super Soul – Love Zone
(37th to 38th Balboa Corridor)
Feature:
- Express compassion and love for self, others, and the world
- Bus Stop Photo Booth + heart-shaped ornaments for showing love

Block 4 – Super Stroll – Opportunity / Wealth Zone

- Food vendors and a dancing area for lively celebration

🌟 Grand Marshal–(later)
We are proud to announce our Grand Marshal, who embodies the spirit of vitality, strength, and community leadership. The Grand Marshal will lead the parade and bring a special message of hope for the new year.
The Richmond Neighborhood Center is honored to announce Zhou Bao Bao, internationally known as “the Hanfu Lady,” as Grand Marshal of our 2026 Lunar New Year Celebration. With 4.9 million followers on Douyin, Zhou Bao Bao has become a celebrated voice in the revival of traditional Chinese clothing and culture. Her dedication to preserving and promoting Hanfu has inspired millions around the world, making her the perfect ambassador for our community’s celebration of heritage, culture, and connection. Her participation brings international visibility to the Richmond District’s Lunar New Year festivities and underscores the cultural significance of this beloved neighborhood tradition.
