Event Overview

The Year of the Horse symbolizes energy, strength, and forward momentum. Inspired by this, “Super Horse – Super Hope” celebrates the Richmond District’s shared aspirations for a brighter year ahead. Just as the horse gallops with vitality and determination, this event invites schools, community-based organizations (CBOs), and community groups to bring joy, creativity, and festive spirit to families and neighbors throughout the Richmond District.

  • 3:00–4:00 PM – 好运游行：乘光而行
  • 4:00–5:30 PM – 中场文化演出
  • 5:30–6:30 PM – 好运游行：夜色生辉
  • 6:30–8:30 PM – 才艺表演
  • 3:00–8:30 PM – 夜市

🎉 First Vendor Decoration Competition

This year, vendors can showcase their creativity and festive spirit in our first-ever Booth Decoration Competition!

  • Prizes awarded for Best Theme, Most Creative, and Most Festive.
  • Each vendor is encouraged to design their booth to match one of the five parade themes.
  • Sign up early to secure your spot and join the fun!

Block 1 – Super Grow – Family / Children Zone (35th to 36th Balboa Corridor)

Feature:

  • Many kids’ games and prizes
  • Lunar New Year children’s music
  • Signature Wall for photos
  • Theme blessing: 快乐成长 （以梦为马，不负韶华）
  • Traditional Lunar New Year decorations

Block 2 – Super Role – Health Zone (Seniors)
(36th to 37th Balboa Corridor)

Feature:

  • Traditional Chinese activities: painting, calligraphy, mahjong, tai chi
  • Bus Stop Photo Booth for decoration and senior-friendly interaction
  • Theme blessing: 福寿安康（龙马精神，再谱华章）
  • Traditional Lunar New Year decorations

Block 3 – Super Soul – Love Zone
(37th to 38th Balboa Corridor)

Feature:

  • Express compassion and love for self, others, and the world
  • Bus Stop Photo Booth + heart-shaped ornaments for showing love
  • Theme blessing: 相亲相爱（策马同心，聚力前行）
  • Traditional Lunar New Year decorations

 Block 4 – Super Stroll – Opportunity / Wealth Zone
(38th to 39th Balboa Corridor)

Feature:

  • Food vendors and a dancing area for lively celebration
  • Theme blessing: 步步高升（一马平川，前程似锦）
  • Traditional Lunar New Year decorations

Block 5 – Super Glow – Video Show & Lineup Zone (39th to 40th Balboa Corridor)

Feature:

  • staging area
  • Video show element included
  • Theme blessing: 金玉满堂（天马行空，大展宏图）
  • Traditional Lunar New Year decorations
