The Richmond Neighborhood Center began Beacon programming at Presidio Middle School in 2000. Beacon offers a fully comprehensive after school program from dismissal until 7:00 PM at the school site.

Enrichment Program

Offers 6th and 7th grade youth an opportunity to investigate their interests and build soft and hard skills at Beacon. Youth will always participate in a check-in circle, collaborative hands-on activities and a learning debrief. They will also get a chance to show off their skills in the classroom or at culminating family night.

Presidio Enrichment Program utilizes a club-based model where each staff will facilitate 2-4 clubs all year long. Students will have the opportunity to choose different clubs at winter break. Students enrolled in the Enrichment Program will still have the ability to choose their own schedule, though the schedule will be for a longer duration of time to allow for deeper exploration into chosen areas of study.

Youth often go on field trips on Wednesdays, so please inform Beacon staff if you are picking up, or expecting your child home early.

WELLNESS CENTER SERVICES

Open to all Presidio students and in collaboration with Presidio Middle School, the Beacon offers coordinated student support during the school day. Services are offered on a referral basis and determined by the Student Support Services team.

Supports include:

Case Management
Small Groups
Check-In/Check-Out
