For this year’s National Senior Citizens Day—originally observed on the anniversary of the Social Security Act of 1935—The Richmond Neighborhood Center hosted a community celebration honoring our senior neighbors!
The event was a hit, with more than 130 local seniors stopping in to enjoy a free lunch catered by local restaurants, enter raffles and play games, and meet with over a dozen organizations providing services to older San Franciscans.
We were delighted to honor these wonderful members of our community, and we can’t wait until next year’s celebration!
