Volunteer
Volunteer at a Food Pantry
In a high-cost neighborhood like the Richmond District, it can be a challenge to make ends meet. People from all over our neighborhood, including hard-working people with low-wage jobs, can find themselves unable to afford all the food they need. Seniors, families with children, and unemployed and low-wage workers make up the majority of those struggling with hunger. Groups interested in volunteering should directly contact Yves at Yves@richmondsf.org.
Bring Groceries to a Neighbor in Need!
Volunteer on Tuesdays or Thursdays to deliver groceries to a homebound senior nearby! The commitment is about 30 minutes per week and is great for both individuals or families. Volunteers will be matched with someone who they will bring food to and must be able to pick up food between 3-6PM on a consistent basis.
Corporate & Group Volunteering
The Richmond Neighborhood Center would love to have your corporate, school, or other group help out at one of our food pantries! Volunteering with us is a great way to get out in the community and do some truly important work that benefits people who need it the most.
Volunteer at One Richmond
Our One Richmond program works to unify our community and cultivate neighborhood pride centered on taking care of one another, taking care of the Richmond, and supporting our local businesses. In that spirit, we maintain an up-to-date list of volunteer opportunities in the community so that you can find the perfect fit for giving back. Check back often, as the list is updated regularly!
