Angie Thai

Program Manager

With a passion for youth development that spans nearly a decade, Angie has been working with youth since 2015, dedicating their career to supporting and empowering children in their community. Starting at the Richmond Neighborhood Center in 2016 as a Youth Program Assistant, Angie quickly found their calling in helping kids thrive in after-school programs and community activities. This role sparked a deeper commitment to youth mentorship, leading to a move to Lafayette Elementary School, where they’ve continued to grow and develop professionally.

Over the years, Angie has worn many hats at Lafayette Elementary, including Activity Leader, Assistant Program Manager, and now Program Manager. In each role, Angie has maintained a focus on creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for students from kindergarten through 5th grade. Their love for spending time with kids—treating them as if they were their own—has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children. One of the most rewarding aspects of the work for Angie is watching these young students grow and mature, only to return years later as they visit, sharing updates on their lives and careers.

Through every step of their journey, Angie remains deeply committed to nurturing the next generation, creating opportunities for personal growth, and building lasting, meaningful connections with the kids they serve.
