Summer Camp Positions

Elementary School Summer Camp Activity Leaders

This is a Temporary Full-Time position.  $17-17.25/hr. As a Summer Activity Leader, your responsibilities are 2-fold: 1) responsible for planning a different enrichment activity class for each week and responsible for running that 2-hour enrichment activity class in the morning Monday-Thursday.  2) responsible for plugging in activities into a set structure for the afternoon camp groups and running those groups.  Examples of enrichment classes are: Arts n ’Crafts, Photography, dance, Cartooning, Singing, Fashion Arts, sports.  Examples of group activities are: science, media (videotaping, Zine making, etc), sports, arts, local field trips. Middle School Summer Camp Program Leader

This is a Temporary Full-Time position.  $17.75-18/hr.  As a Summer Program Leader, you will be responsible for developing week-long themes, activities and goals. You will facilitate deep, intentional skill building spaces with project-based learning opportunities, that incorporate field trips, community circles, reflection strategies, SEL skill-building, and culturally-relevant content. The Summer Program Leader also provides curriculum, leadership, supervision support to their assigned staff team, as well as coordinated activities and special events. Middle School Summer Camp Senior Activity Leader

This is a Temporary Full-Time position. $17.25/hr. As a Summer Sr. Activity Leader, you will develop and create fun, guided activities for youth in our camps. You will lead off campus field trips and create opportunities to infuse youth voice into our Beacon Camp programming. Middle School Summer Camp Activity Leader

This is a Temporary Full-Time position. $17.00/hr. As a Summer Activity Leader, you will facilitate fun, guided “free time” activities for youth in our camps. You will lead off campus field trips and documented lesson plan activities for participants. Activity Leader

Elementary After School Program – Multiple Sites
This is a part-time position. $15.75-16/hr. As an Activity Leader, you will foster a safe, nurturing learning environment for students that is reflective of The Richmond Neighborhood Center’s mission statement. In conjunction with the Assistant Program Manager and Lead Activity Leader, implements and facilitates a range of academic, wellness, and social-emotional educational programming and activities. Activity Leaders also apply applicable behavior guidance models (Restorative Practice, Positive Behavior Reinforcements, etc.) to address student behaviors and maintain group/classroom management. You will work with a team of collaborative colleagues and help to foster a community of learning, growth, and equity. Multicultural and Identity Based Programs Sr. Activity Leader

Middle School After School Program – Roosevelt Middle School
This is a part-time position. $16.50 – 17.50/hr. As an Activity Leader, you will facilitate curriculum created through a critical and social justice oriented lens, as well as become familiar with the Participatory Action Research project process and mentor youth to grow as advocates for themselves and their communities. Middle School After School Program – Roosevelt or Presidio Middle School
This is a part-time position. $15.50/hr. As an Activity Leader, you will provide supervision and support to 6th or 7th grade youth by facilitating enrichment classes and community building activities. Activity Leaders are also expected to participate in a Youth Work Pathways Program to continue to hone skills to best support youth and grow professionally. This is a part-time position. $17.25 – 18.50/hr. As a Program Leader, you will provide supervision and support to 7th or 8th grade youth by designing and facilitating intentional curriculum for their assigned academy. Program Leaders are also trained to build curriculum for and mentor our Activity Leaders to continue to hone their skills to best support youth and to grow professionally. This is a part-time position. $16.50 – 17.50/hr. Sr. Activity Leaders are also trained to mentor our high school aged Youth Program Assistants to continue to hone their skills to best support youth and to grow professionally. Activity Leader

High School After School Program – Washington High School
This is a part-time position. $16.50 – 17.50/hr. As an Activity Leader, you will provide guidance and support in both structured and unstructured enrichments and activities. As well as creating and maintaining a positive and welcoming space for students to play and grow. You will work with a team of highly collaborative colleagues and help to foster a community of caring adults, seeking to create safe and supportive environments for teens to be themselves and reach their goals.
