Community Organizer for the One Richmond Initiative

This is a full-time position, 30 hours per week. The Richmond Neighborhood Center is currently seeking a Community Organizer to work on the One Richmond initiative, a community program that celebrates Compassion, Inclusiveness, Civic Pride and Shopping Local in the district. We are seeking an extroverted and energetic individual to work out of the One Richmond storefront on Clement Street. This a public-facing position that will require engaging diverse neighbors, sharing resources and being a positive representative of the program as well as the Neighborhood Center. Under the supervision of the Community Relations Manager, the Community Organizer will promote and exemplify One Richmond to the public out of the Clement Street office and at community events. They will provide excellent customer service, increase One Richmond memberships and share resources, opportunities and events with the public. They will also attend special events in the district and table on behalf of the program and the Neighborhood Center. Cantonese or Russian speaking capacity is strongly preferred for this position. School Year positions 2019-20

ARTi High School Case Manager

This is a seasonal, part-time position. $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, 20 hours per week. The Case Manager is responsible for providing one-on-one case management support and facilitating small groups for organization participants. The Case Manager will coordinate individual academic and behavioral supports for students. The Case Manager will collaborate with the Behavioral Health Program Manager and school staff and faculty to ensure student success (attend IEPs, SSTs, and other student support meetings) at George Washington High School.

Elementary School Assistant Program Manager

This is a seasonal, full-time position. $19.00 – $20.00 per hour, 35 hours per week. As an Assistant Program Manager, you will support and assist the Program Manager while providing a strong daily presence for youth at the school site. The Assistant Program Manager collaborates with other on-site after-school providers, parents, PTA/O and school-day staff to support a program that reflects The Richmond Neighborhood Center’s model of well-structured, low-ratio, place- and project-based learning, intentional staff training, and family and student mental health support. Elementary School Student Support Leader

This is a seasonal, part-time position. $17.50 – $18.00 per hour, 15 – 18 hours per week. As a Student Support Leader you will foster a safe, nurturing learning environment for students that is reflective of our
mission statement. In conjunction with the Program Manager and the Assistant Program Manager, the Student
Support Leader must be able to create and organize engaging activities for a student with limited communication skills, lead developmentally appropriate projects, activities, and games, and help facilitate and support the integration of the student into the after-school community. The Student Support Leader should possess a flexible and empathetic working style to adapt well with daily student behaviors, schedule changes, and role variation. Elementary School Activity Leader

This is a seasonal, part-time position. $17.25 – $18.00 per hour, 15 – 18 hours per week. As an Activity Leader, you will foster a safe, nurturing learning environment for students that is reflective of our mission statement. In conjunction with the Assistant Program Manager and Lead Activity Leader, implements and facilitates a range of academic, wellness, and social-emotional educational programming and activities. Activity Leaders also apply applicable behavior guidance models (Restorative Practice, Positive Behavior Reinforcements, etc.) to address student behaviors and maintain group/classroom management. You will work with a team of collaborative colleagues and help to foster a community of learning, growth, and equity. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GIRLS SPORTS COACH

This is a seasonal, part-time position. $25.00 – $29.00 per hour, 15 hours per week. Together, The Richmond Neighborhood Center and Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center (a program of BACR) are looking for energetic, highly motivated and creative individuals to work as Girls Sports Coaches in our after-school program at elementary schools in the Richmond and Sunset Districts. Our programs foster creative horizon-broadening programming. Programs feature social-emotional learning, sports fundamentals, cooking and nutrition, and much more!
