Help Out With Our Food Pantry
In a high-cost neighborhood like the Richmond District, it can be a challenge to make ends meet. People from all over our neighborhood, including hard-working people with low-wage jobs, can find themselves unable to afford all the food they need. Seniors, families with children, and unemployed and low-wage workers make up the majority of those struggling with hunger.
We provide over 700 Richmond District residents each week with free produce and groceries through our volunteer-run food pantries at The Richmond Neighborhood Center campus (741 30th Ave). Food pantries take place every Monday from 4:00-5:00PM, Tuesday from 3:30-4:30PM and Thursday from 2:30-4:00PM at the Neighborhood Center. It’s a great way to get outside and work alongside your friends, colleagues and neighbors and give back to your community!
Individuals looking to volunteer should fill out this form and can show up to a pantry upon their availability! For questions or to schedule a group volunteer day please contact Yves at yves@richmondsf.org.
