Elementary and Middle School Program Applications are Now Open

May 6, 2020

Applications for The Richmond Neighborhood Center’s fall 2020 elementary school programs and middle school programs are now open! We offer school-based programs at five Richmond District elementary and two middle school Beacon programs:

Alamo Elementary School
Argonne Elementary School
Lafayette Elementary School
McCoppin Elementary School
Peabody Elementary School
Presidio Middle School
Roosevelt Middle School

We are continuing to work with SFUSD and our partner schools to determine how the fall semester will proceed, and our first priority is the safety of our participants and staff. In the meantime, we are opening the application process so that we can be ready to begin our programming as soon as we are able.

Additionally, in the 2020-2021 school year, we will also be prioritizing the needs of families with essential workers and those who must leave home in order to work.

Elementary School

Our elementary school programs encourage youth to be curious and build strong relationships by practicing social and emotional learning and offering one-on-one case management and social groups to those in need. In addition to homework time and recreational activities, youth take joy in discovering the world around them through project-based learning in a variety of enrichment classes and field trips.

All of our elementary school programs offer a sliding payment scale and free snack. Last school year, we provided more than $250,000 in financial aid to families.

We will be accepting applications for elementary school programs until May 29. Placement offers will be sent on June 8, and must be accepted by June 22.
